Floor map of Schleswig-Holstein 1:25 000
Description
The soil map of Schleswig-Holstein 1:25,000 shows the soils as soil forms for about half of the country. Each surface is assigned a surface-dominant soil shape. Supporting floors are not listed. In addition to the soil types, the map contains information on the dominant substrate genesis, soil type stratification, soil source rock and groundwater level, as well as possible anthropogenic changes or peculiarities. The soils are described up to 2m below ground surface. The map is based on analogously published single map sheets of the map collection Bodenkarte 1:25.000 von Schleswig-Holstein. This map book was created over the course of more than 50 years of soil mapping in Schleswig-Holstein and has been developed in recent years into a digital, leaf-cut-free map with a uniform legend. The legend is based on the soil mapping guide (Ad-hoc-AG Boden 2005). In addition to the map, there is an extensive profile database with usage-differentiated idealized guide profiles, which enables the user to apply many introduced soil analysis methods (cf. method documentation Soil Science 2000 with updates 2012).
