Description
Islands of rest
- These areas are not quiet areas within the meaning of the EU Environmental Noise Directive and §47d BImSchG. However, since smaller areas are also used by the population to ‘find rest’, these are additionally marked.
- Generally accessible areas
- Weighted mean daily noise level LDEN < 65 dB(A) (respectively for road and rail transport)
- Weighted mean daily noise level LDEN < 50 dB(A) (considered for air traffic)
- Minimum size 5 ha
