Seabed habitate classification in Ormskär 2008
Description
Habitate maps from Ormskär and the Gulf of Bothnia. Maps have been produced using mathematical modelling using data from the physical environment (ground type, water column brightness and sea level transparency). Habitates are designated according to the EEA’s EUNIS system (EUNIS level 3 or 4).
The map gives a general picture of the habitates in the area, but it is not possible to determine the presence of a single species or habitate with high precision. The map is suitable as a design tool.
