Soil science network diagrams

Description

The map shows the soil shapes of the BK50 with a complex soil functional evaluation. For each profile of the BK50, two soil-scientific network diagrams are available via the maptip. The first soil network diagram provides a clear overview of assessments of the natural soil functions, the archive functions and the climate function for each area unit of the BK50. The second diagram shows the sensitivities of the soils (also for each area unit). The application of the soil-based network diagrams presented here is manifold, but is particularly recommended for preparatory land-use planning. The network diagrams were developed with the help of various MeMaS methods based on the digital usage-differentiated soil map of Lower Saxony 1: 50 000 (BK50). In addition, precipitation and evaporation data provided by the DWD are used. The 30-year averages were calculated from the daily data. The precipitation is based on the corrected REGNIE product (as of 25.05.2021). Evaporation was calculated by the DWD using the standard method according to FAO to determine the grass reference evaporation on climate station data (as of 10.12.2021).
