Neighbourhood problems, insecurity, victimisation by characteristics (VMR ‘05-’08)
Description
In this table you will find an overview of experienced neighbourhood problems, insecurity experience and victimisation of
persons based on the Security Monitor Rijk (VMR).
It concerns neighbourhood problems (traffic nuisance, other nuisance, physical decay and social cohesion), feelings of insecurity (insecurity in general and in specific situations, avoidance behaviour), victimisation of crime (total victimisation, violent crimes and property crimes).
It is always about data on the population aged 15 or over, unless otherwise stated. Included are the national figures and the figures by personal and neighbourhood characteristics.
The neighbourhoods are classified according to 6-digit postal codes as described in the table Kerncijfers neighbourhoods and neighbourhoods 2003-2008.
The VMR was carried out in the first quarter of the years 2005 to 2008.
Because a large part of the VMR relates to experiences in the previous 12 months, the neighborhood data for the year preceding the interview year of the VMR are linked to it.
Due to changes in questioning, research design and/or context, the VMR data are not comparable to data from other sources, such as the Integrated Safety Monitor (IVM, from 2008) and previous safety and/or victim surveys.
