INSPIRE-WMS Soil / Wetting conditions Soil BB
Description
The interoperable INSPIRE WMS is a display service that displays data in the annex schema ground (derived from the original dataset: Soil wetting conditions Brandenburg). It gives an overview of the wetting conditions in the soil for the state of Brandenburg. The map is based on the legend units of the ground overview map (BÜK300). These are soil-forming societies. The enumerated (area) soil forms were evaluated with regard to the soil water conditions. This was done primarily on the basis of the soil systematic units involved. These units provided the information on the degree of wetting and the area proportions for distribution. In the case of groundwater soils, the degree of wetting depends on the depth of the groundwater level in the soil area up to a maximum of 2 m below the corridor and in the case of backwater soils on the intensity or duration of the leachate present in the soil after precipitation and prevented from seepage. According to the INSPIRE data specification Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0), the contents of the ground map are INSPIRE-compliant. The WMS contains the following layers:
- SO.waterLogging: Wetness ratios describe the soil hydraulic properties with respect to wetting by groundwater or backwater.
- SO.SoilBody: Delimited and homogeneous part of the floor covering with respect to certain soil characteristics and/or spatial patterns.

The compliant INSPIRE-WMS Soil / Vernässungsverhältnisse Boden Brandenburg is a view service that delivers data in the annex schema Soil (derived from the original data set: Degree of waterlogging in the soil Brandenburg). It provides an overview of the degree of waterlogging in the soil for the State of Brandenburg. The map is based on the legend units of the soil map (BÜK300). These represent soil form societies. The listed soil forms were evaluated with regard to their soil water conditions. This was done primarily on the basis of the soil system units involved. These units provided information on the degree of waterlogging and the area distribution. In the case of groundwater soils, the degree of waterlogging depends on the depth of the groundwater level up to a maximum of 2 m below ground level, and in the case of stagnant soils on the intensity or duration of the stagnating surface water present in the soil after precipitation. The content of the soil map is compliant to the INSPIRE data specification for the annex theme Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0). The WMS includes the following layers:
- SO.waterLogging: Waterlogging conditions indicates soil hydraulic conditions with regard to waterlogging by groundwater and stagnant water.
- SO.SoilBody: Part of the soil cover that is delineated and that is homogeneous with regard to certain soil properties and/or spatial patterns.
