Percentage of smokers in young people aged 12-25 and young adults in Germany by age group and sex from 1973 to 2012.
Results of representative surveys conducted by the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA).
Age of respondents in the various studies: 1973 and 1976: Between 14 and 25 years; 2003, 2005, 2007: 12 to 19 years; other studies: 12 to 25 years. For the 1973, 1976, 2003, 2005 and 2007 studies, results are therefore not available for some age groups.
From 1993 onwards including new Länder
