Description
OffeneVergaben.at tries to make public procurements of over €50,000 – with a total volume of tens of billions of euros per year – comprehensible for the first time on the basis of open data.
OffeneVergaben.at prepares open data on procurement procedures that government agencies have been publishing since March 2019 via data.gv.at in accordance with the Federal Procurement Act 2018. The platform aggregates and prepares the data.
For the first time, it is possible to understand which contracts a particular government body awards, which services a company provides to the public sector, and what the procurement volume is for various services and goods.
Behind the project is the civil rights organisation [Forum Informationsfreiheit] (https://www.informationsfreiheit.at/), made possible by the support of [Netidee] (https://netidee.at/).

The platform is currently in a beta version: Additional features, including a download option, additional filters and email notifications, are in the works, any bugs are still being fixed.
