Description
[OffeneVergaben.at](https://www.offenevergaben.at) tries to make public procurements of over €50,000 – with a total volume of tens of billions of euros per year – comprehensible for the first time on the basis of open data.
[OffeneVergaben.at](https://www.offenevergaben.at) prepares open data on procurement procedures that government agencies have been publishing since March 2019 via [data.gv.at](http://data.gv.at) in accordance with the Federal Procurement Act 2018. The platform aggregates and prepares the data.
For the first time, it is possible to understand which contracts a particular government body awards, which services a company provides to the public sector, and what the procurement volume is for various services and goods.
Behind the project is the civil rights organisation [Forum Informationsfreiheit] (https://www.informationsfreiheit.at/), made possible by the support of [Netidee] (https://netidee.at/).

The platform is currently in a beta version: Additional features, including a download option, additional filters and email notifications, are in the works, any bugs are still being fixed.
