Current Height file Netherlands (AHN) DSM
Description
The Actueel Hoogtebestand Nederland DSM (AHN4) is the digital elevation map for the whole of the Netherlands including all objects on site. The grid files have a resolution of 0.5 meters. It contains detailed and precise height data determined with a minimum of 10 height measurements per square meter. The height is measured with laser altimetry: A technique in which an aircraft scans the earth's surface with a laser beam. The measured heights (points) are 3D point clouds and grids. AHN is a collaboration between the provinces, the national government and the water boards. The height file AHN4 DSM is the grid constructed from all points except those classified as "water" based on a Squared IDW method. No further edits have been performed. It also contains trees, buildings, bridges and other objects. The current AHN is version 4, this version has been collected over the years 2020, 2021 and 202.
