OGC API — Features (OAF) Hamburg
Description
OGC API — Features (OAF) is a standard of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) and specifies a programming interface (API) for querying spatial data on the web.
It is a complete revision and consistent modernisation of the OGC Web Feature Service (WFS) and relies on the use of common web standards (e.g. REST).
A selection of innovations:
— per record, resources are defined that can be requested in different representations (GeoJSON, GML and HTML)
— HTTP content-negotiation is used to request a specific representation
— easy filtering via URL parameters — the APIs are described according to the OpenAPI Specification
— the preset coordinate reference system is WGS84 (geographical coordinates, EPSG:4326), the request of other coordinate reference systems, e.g. ETRS89/UTM Zone 32N (EPSG:25832) is possible
For the Urban Data Platform Hamburg, the entry page of this API can be found at https://api.hamburg.de/datasets/v1.
The data sets available via the API are listed there.
