Digital soil overview map of Thuringia 1: 200000 (BÜK200)
Description
The BÜK 200 shows the spread of socialised soil forms with their characteristics and thus provides a basis for supraregional thematic evaluations. The legend units contain area-weighted information on soil types and soil-forming substrates with their layering. The surface soil forms are summarised at the level of the soil subtypes or types as well as the substrate type.
Parallel to the creation of the map work, a surface database is set up, which should contain at the end all material and graphic data of the BÜK 200. The area database contains basic soil and geological data such as soil source rock and its stratification, soil type, soil type, humus content and carbonate content, as well as additional site-related information on terrain inclination, groundwater level and type of use.
