Areas of Concern - Diagnosis PPBE - Environmental Noise Prevention Plan - MEL

Description

The Environmental Noise Prevention Plan (EPPP) is a **action tool** to prevent and reduce the effects of infrastructure-related noise in agglomerations (more information on the cases concerned in terms of resources). Two types of zones have been defined by the MEL: ***Stakeholder Areas (SAs)*** The use of the various data from the Strategic Noise Maps makes it possible to define areas to be treated as a matter of priority: Areas at stake. They are characterized by * a continuous and homogeneous habitat-type building or sensitive establishment, * exposed to one or more sound overruns. They are therefore intended to take into account almost all threshold exceedances (in particular road and rail) and need to be revised after the update of the CBS. Sensitive dwellings or equipment exposed to exceedances in isolation are a priori excluded from EAs.
