Higher education; registered persons, origin 1995-2015
Description
This table shows the number of students enrolled at the higher education institutions funded by the government broken down by type of education, course of study, form of education, origin grouping and generation, academic year. From the academic year 2015/'16, this table also contains the number of students enrolled at some designated institutions: the theological universities and the University of Humanistics. In previous years of study, these students were included in a separate StatLine table. For the most recent academic year -2015/'16, information on study is not yet available. There has been a clustering of fields of study in several colleges, which means that the year-on-year comparison cannot be made up for. In the third quarter of 2016, a new study table will be drawn up from the academic year 2015/'16.

Status of the figures:
The figures for the academic year 2014/‘15 are final and those for the academic year 2015/’16 are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised.
