Lime content top layer of the soil

Description

The map with lime content in the top layer of the soil (the top twenty centimeters) was made by Alterra Wageningen. Lime occurs in the soil because shells and shellfish are also left behind during the deposition. Lime is therefore mainly used for deposits by the sea and rivers. Lime content affects acidity, soil chemical processes, soil fertility and soil structure
