Federal Inventory of High Marshes and Transitional Marshes of National Importance (FR)

Description

The high bog inventory contains the objects found in the field, which contain peat moss and at least one of the 4 classic high moor-producing vascular plants or 3 out of 17 other highly moor-inhabiting species. The contiguous high bog area shall cover at least 625 m². The high bog inventory was put into effect in 1991 with 514 objects and supplemented in 2003 with a 2nd series and a revision in 2007 to 548 objects. Purpose: The High Moor Ordinance protects the last remaining high bogs in Switzerland.
