Description
Surveying points form the basis of all data related to space. The so-called fixed points are used for all surveying tasks that require reliable and precise determination. A position fix point is a permanently insured point with a stone or a bolt (partly under shaft) with known coordinates and possibly known height. The position fix points of category 2 (LFP2) are used to compact the point network and form the basis of official surveying. The respective canton is responsible for the LFP2. There are different types of position fixes in category 2: — The position fix points of category 2 (LFP2) together with the LFP1 form the reference framework for all surveying work in Switzerland. The LV03 coordinates of the historical location fixpoints were determined by triangulation at the beginning of the 20th century.
