Description

This table deals with court criminal cases that have been settled by the Public Prosecution Service (OM). The figures are broken down by type of crime, method of settlement, 25 large municipalities and some characteristics of the municipality where the crime took place. The data per municipality is presented for all years according to the municipal classification of 1 January 2013. The large municipalities were chosen on the basis of the big city policy (GSB). The characteristics consist of the degree of urbanity and the size class of the municipalities, according to the situation in 2013. The prosecution can also subpoena a suspect. In that case, the case will be referred to the judge. Subpoenas are not counted as a settlement by the Public Prosecution Service. The figures in the table are rounded to five. Data available from 1994 to 2013. Status of the figures: The 2013 data are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised.
