Victimisation of crime; region, 2012

Description

The Safety Monitor (VM) is an annual population survey on safety, liveability and victimisation. Attention is also paid to nuisance in the neighbourhood, disrespectful behaviour, prevention measures, the functioning of the police and municipal security policy. As a result, figures are obtained in a clear way about the (experience of) security at both national, regional and (lower) local levels. This table focuses on the victimisation of common crime in the 12 months prior to the investigation. These are traditional crimes such as violence, property crimes and vandalism, as well as computer crime or cybercrime. The data is displayed for the Netherlands as a whole and for the 25 police regions. The Safety Monitor is a sample survey. This means that the figures shown are estimates, from which reliability margins apply. These margins are also included in the table. The figures refer to persons aged 15 or over, unless otherwise stated. The survey was conducted in the last quarter of the year. Data available from 2012. Status of the figures: The data is final. When will there be new figures? None, this table has been discontinued. This table is followed by Victims of Crime; region. See paragraph 3.
