Prevention measures against crime; police Region (IVM), 2009-2011
Description
In this table you will find an overview of the presence and use of preventive measures against crime among the population.
These are technical prevention measures, social prevention measures and prevention as a whole. By technical prevention measures (also known as techno-prevention) we mean, among other things, additional safety locks on outside doors or an alarm system in the house. Social prevention measures (also known as socio-prevention) exist when the light is lit in the evening in the absence or takes valuables from the car.
It is always about data on the population aged 15 or over, unless otherwise stated. Included are the national figures and the figures per police region. Due to changes in questioning, research design and/or context, the 2009 IVM data are not comparable to data from other sources, such as the Integrated Safety Monitor (IVM) 2008, the Security Monitor Rijk (VMR; 2005-2008) and previous safety and/or victim surveys.
