Ballast (display service)
Description
The Ballast display service contains information that is important for planning the supply of aggregates to society. The information provides a geological basis for both authorities in their work with planning of material supply and licensing of quarries as well as the ballast industry's planning for new quarries.
The service contains information about mountains of different qualities with regard to road, concrete and rail. Technical analyses and mica concentrations are reported as point information. Natural gravel deposits are reported partly in terms of material composition and partly with classification of natural / geoscientific value. The service also contains information about moraine occurrences and licensed quarries.
