Description
The bicycle network of the city of Biel consists of direct and comfort routes. The majority of the direct connections run along the main traffic axes. They are therefore primarily intended for cyclists who are accustomed to traffic and who want to get to their destination as efficiently as possible. The comfort connections, on the other hand, are attractive connections away from the main traffic axes, in speed 30 zones or on separate paths for foot and bicycle traffic. Connecting routes connect the districts and work zones directly with the most important direct or comfort routes. With these different types of routes, the Biel bicycle network covers the needs of the entire population from young to old.
