The publication ‘Kernpercentage Wijken en Buurten 2001’ contains statistical data for all municipalities, districts and neighbourhoods of the Netherlands. Each of these territories has been assigned a unique code of eight positions in the “National District and Neighborhood Classification on 1 January 2001”. This district and neighborhood code is made up of a municipality code of four positions, followed by a district code of two positions, followed by a neighborhood code of two positions. The main purpose of the key figures is to compare the different parts of municipalities. Due to the national approach it is also possible to compare neighbourhoods of different municipalities
