Pantograph surveillance camera

Description

A pantograph surveillance camera (APMS) is typically a device installed on the contact shield wall of an overpass with a radar, flash device and camera. The radar detects the approaching train and detects its speed and distance. The APMS system is able to describe all active pantographs of a train when the train is moving at the authorised operating speeds in Finland. The pantograph surveillance camera shall be identified by name, system, model, manufacturer, date of commissioning, location and status of operation of the central unit (in use, not in use, not known), location name, location track identification, line-kilometre location and line number related to the location. The pantograph surveillance camera is part of the rolling stock surveillance equipment. The data cover railways owned by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. The data source system is the Track Object Management Application (RATKO) of the Track Infrastructure Information Management System. The material is updated once a week.
