Description
This table contains figures on sewage sludge from waste water treatment plants owned by private companies. Private waste water treatment involves companies and institutions that have their own treatment plant. These are mainly companies in industry, energy supply, water companies and waste management, wholesale and transport. Wastewater treatment creates a residual product, the sewage sludge. The quantity and destination of the sewage sludge released is shown in this table. The data can be broken down into the following characteristics:
— provenance;
— type of sludge;
— class of dry matter.
