Salinisation map 2014 - helicopter measurements
Description
It concerns the data points of the first measurement campaign of the aerial electromagnetic research carried out on the East Coast (Knokke-Heist, Bruges and Damme) in April 2014 in which the resistance of the subsurface was determined. A helicopter then flew parallel lines with an intermediate distance of 250m, with the exception of the Zwin where an intermediate distance of 100m was used. The data on these flight lines, together with the data from the second measurement campaign (2017), were used to draw up the salinisation map 2014/2017 and indicate where effective measurements were taken. The data points also include resistivity profiles. These represent the resistance distribution in the subsurface along the flight line on which the data point is located. It is a representation of the bulk resistivity, i.e. the general resistivity of the subsurface (sediment + groundwater). The value of 6 ohms is generally considered to be the boundary between sweet and salty sediments. Interruptions are regularly visible in the figures, at these locations the helicopter could not make a reliable measurement. The horizontal resolution of these figures is the measurement resolution of the helicopter, with about one measurement per 40m. The vertical resolution is the layer layout according to the inversion method used.
