Failure of vehicles to province; 1996-1999
Description
Within the system of waste statistics, CBS conducts research
to vehicle wrecks. The aim of the study is to obtain a figure of
the total number of vehicles to be disassembled in the Netherlands
offered.
This table provides information by part of the country and by province
on the failure of the vehicles in number and weight. The breakdown exists
from the vehicles released for disassembly, the export of mostly
second-hand vehicles and vehicles which are outside public roads
to be used.

From 2008 onwards, the definitions for determining the type of vehicle are in the
motor vehicle park tightened. To track the figures temporarily
similarly, the years 2000 to 2007 have been overhauled.
The result of the revision is that a limited number of vehicles
of a different type of vehicle than before the overhaul, and that some
‘unknown’ vehicles are now known.
Some of the available information could not be overhauled and
therefore not fully comparable to data from the years 2000 and
later, it concerns the years 1996-1999.
This table has therefore been discontinued for the figures from 2000 onwards.
