Industrial waste; industry (SBI'93), waste category, treatment; 2004-2007
Description
Industrial waste is distinguished in hazardous and
non-hazardous waste.
This table only provides information on the non-hazardous
waste. A distinction is made in chemical and
non-chemical waste. The non-chemical waste is still
further disaggregated.
The commercial waste released is reused or offered
for “end processing”. Landfill and incineration of waste are the
main forms of final processing.
This table shows for total Netherlands, by industry and by
company size information on the total quantity released
waste broken down by type of waste (= category of waste) and the
method of processing or processing (reuse or final processing).
In May 2002 the European Waste Regulation was adopted in which the European Union
waste list (EURAL) is listed, entered into force. As of 2004
used the EURAL for the first time.
The 2004 figures per category of waste are not straightforward.
similar to the results from previous years. The Eural Code
uses a different classification of the substance types than at the time
the Dutch waste list.
For this reason, this table only shows figures from 2004 onwards. For a

paragraph 3.
