Emissions to air on Dutch territory; road traffic
Description
This table contains figures on actual total emissions to air on Dutch territory from total road traffic, including foreign vehicles. In addition, this table contains figures on the associated park emission factors, which are the average emissions per vehicle-kilometre.
The figures in this table refer to exhaust emissions from burning (engine) fuels, emissions from evaporation of fuel from the fuel system of vehicles and emissions from tyre wear, road surfaces and brakes. Compared to the Statline tables “Emissions to air on Dutch territory; mobile sources on emissions to air”, this table excludes NMVOC emissions from air conditioning and CO2 emissions from the use of lubricants.
In order to achieve a coherent and consistent time series, the complete time series shall be (re)calculated each year, so that the latest insights, in particular as regards emission factors, can be taken into account in the calculations.
Data available from: Actual emissions are available from 1990 onwards, the park emission factors are available from 2004 onwards.

When will there be new figures?
Preliminary figures for 2023 are expected in October 2024.
