Bro Groundwater Composition Study ATOM
Description
Data on ground quality research (Groundwater analysis report in English) are stored in the basic subsurface registration (BRO). The registration object groundwater composition study contains the final results of research focused on groundwater quality. In addition, a groundwater sample was used from a tube in a known groundwater monitoring well. This study was carried out under the responsibility of a laboratory. We use our groundwater for different purposes. For example, it can be the raw material for drinking water or water supply for nature. The applications for which groundwater is eligible depends mainly on its quality. Traditionally, water extraction companies in the Netherlands monitor the quality of the pumped groundwater. In order to carry out this monitoring task properly, they can sample the groundwater at and near the pumping station and have them examined in laboratories. For the more regional monitoring of groundwater quality, the state and provincial authorities have taken over this task more and more in recent decades. But at the extraction sites, water extraction companies will of course continue to monitor the groundwater quality themselves.
