Tourism accounts; supply in the Netherlands, 2001-2011
Description
This table contains data on the supply of tourist goods and services. Tourism is not an industry in itself, but covers a large number of products and services supplied to tourists from different industries. The figures are consistent with the conceptual framework of the National
Accounts (NR) and can be compared with already existing macroeconomic indicators such as gross domestic product, total value added and the total number of jobs in the Netherlands.
The Tourism Satellite Account (SRT) thus provides an integrated macroeconomic overview of the importance of tourism for the economy.
This table quantifies the production and imports of supplies to tourists. Tourist expenditures and offers are in balance: the internal tourist expenditure (excluding VAT) is therefore equal to the totals per product in this table.
Data available from 2001 to 2011.
Status of the figures:
The 2010 data are (further) provisional and 2011 provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised.
