Tourism; key indicators, No, 2010-2016
Description
This table contains data on key tourism indicators. Tourism contributes to the Dutch economy (contribution to employment, gross domestic product and value added). Tourism is not an industry in itself, but covers a large number of products and services supplied to tourists from different industries. The figures are consistent with the conceptual framework of the National Accounts (NR) and can be compared with already existing macroeconomic figures such as gross domestic product, total value added and the total number of jobs in the Netherlands. Tourism accounts thus provide an integrated macroeconomic overview of the importance of tourism for the economy.

Status of the figures:
The data from 2010 to 2014 are final. Data for 2015 and 2016 are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised.

The Central Bureau of Statistics has recently carried out a revision of the national accounts. New statistical sources and estimation methods are used. This table with data for revision has been replaced by Table Tourism; key indicators, national accounts. For additional information see paragraph 3.
