Assessing tree regeneration along a forest edge following fire in southern New Brunswick, Canada
Description
We present a dataset of measurements and observations of tree regeneration, vegetation surface cover, organic soil depth, and local topographic information along three transects one year after the May-June 2023 Stein Lake Fire in southern New Brunswick, Canada. The main application for this database is to permit the comparison of tree regeneration and surface cover within burned areas relative to adjacent unburned areas across different stands. Additional applications include understanding potential successional pathways.
