Environmental Ordinance, River Water Reclamation Protection Zone
Description
Protection zones have been designated around two river water abstraction points for the drinking water supply in the Amer and the Afgedamde Maas. These are areas around the extraction points where calamities can pose a risk to the extraction within 6 hours. The rules of the Environmental Ordinance state that Rijkswaterstaat will be informed immediately if such a calamity occurs.
