XPath, XML Path Language 2.0
Description
XPath (abbreviation of XML Path Language) is a non-XML-based language for assigning parts of XML documents and creating information based on the XML document structure. The XPath language is based on the wood-shaped presentation of an XML document and thus allows you to extract different parts of the document using certain selection criteria. XPath was developed with the desire to have a uniform syntax and behavioral pattern between XPointer and XSL. (31.8.2011)
