Environmental accounts; water use 2003-2008
Description
As part of the environmental accounts, CBS annually provides the
water bills together. In this one can (physical) use of water
retrieving the Dutch activities.
A distinction is made between the use of tap water,
use and abstraction of groundwater and surface water.
The use is allocated to the various industries and to
households.
Tables of choice can be drawn up in which, by economic
activity (including households), by type of water and per year the size
the use is displayed. The types of water that are taken
its tap water, groundwater surface water.
Because the data in the environmental accounts are directly linked to the econo—
mische data in the National Accounts, it is possible to
impact of the economic performance of the Netherlands on the use of
quantify water from the natural environment.
With the help of the water bills, environmental indicators can be added—

the Netherlands as a whole or by industry are determined.

Frequency: annually (until 2008).
Reason for discontinuation:
As of June 2011, the new standard business classification will be 2008
(SBI 2008) used by the National Accounts. The National
accounts have been transferred from the SBI '93 to the SBI 2008. The
Environmental accounts will be added to this since November 2011.
