Employment rate; link with the labour market
Description
This table contains quarterly and annual figures on the employment rate in the Netherlands. The population aged 15 to 75 (excluding the institutional population) is divided into the employed, unemployed and non-working population. The active labour force is further classified on the basis of employment status and average working hours. A breakdown by gender, age and level of education is available for the different classifications.

Changes as of 23 August 2022:
None, this is a new table. This table is compiled on the basis of the Labour Force Survey (LFS). Due to changes in the research design and the questionnaire of the EBB, the figures for 2021 are not necessarily comparable with the figures up to 2020. The key figures in this table have therefore been made consistent with the (non-seasonally adjusted) figures in the table Labour participation, key figures seasonally adjusted (see paragraph 4), in which the results for the period 2013-2020 have been recalculated to reflect the results from 2021 onwards. If the results are further detailed by job and personal characteristics, there may nevertheless be differences between 2020 and 2021 as a result of the new method.
