The deceased; gender, age and position in the household
Description
This table contains figures on the number of deceased persons by sex, age at 31 December and the position that the deceased person took in the household.

Status of the figures:
The figures in this table are final.
The observation of institutional households from 2014 is mainly based on data from Zorgkaartnederland.nl and persons receiving AWBZ care with residence. Institutional households are better perceived with the new methodology. Since 2014, asylum seekers living in asylum centres and registered in the municipal population register have also been allocated to institutional households. Both factors lead to shifts between institutional and private households. See further paragraph 4.
Amendments as of 25 July 2022:
Final figures for 2020 and 2021 have been added.
When will there be new figures?
In the fourth quarter of 2024, the 2022 and 2023 figures are shown in the table.
