DATASET Wastewater treatment plants (EDAR) and seawater desalination plants (IDAM)
Description
-Wastewater treatment plants (EDAR): To publicize the location of water infrastructures managed by a public entity and intended for the treatment of wastewater. This treatment consists of a series of physical, chemical and biological processes that aim to eliminate the physical, chemical and biological contaminants present in the effluent water. This treatment is carried out at a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP).
-Seawater desalination plants (IDAM) and high network of the Government of the Balearic Islands: In the Balearic Islands there are seawater desalination plants (IDAM) used for the urban supply of the population of the Balearic Islands and managed by ABAQUA. There is also a supramunicipal network, called the registration network of the Government of the Balearic Islands. This upstream network includes large pipes that distribute water from the point of collection of the resource (wells, springs, desalination plants ...) to the main municipal distribution tanks in each urban core.
