exposure

Description

The exposure indicates the cardinal direction of the strongest slope. The representations in the map refer to the 8 cardinal directions (N, NO, O, SO, S, SW, W, NW). Cells whose slope inclination is zero are not defined with respect to the slope inclination direction (-1). Such cases usually occur in lakes and other still waters, as well as in quiet streams or rivers.
