Description
The physiographic units represent those units genetically associated with coastal processes such as exposed and unexposed sedimentary formations, coastal platforms, etc. Additionally, units of fluvial and fluviocoluvial origin have been included, taking into account that through them the sedimentary continent/coast connection occurs, in addition to all those infrastructures that, given their extension and their ability to alter the physiognomy of the units, come into contact with these units. The associated database proposes a hierarchical coding that will be the basis for the extraction of derived cartographies, structured in five fundamental levels of aggregation. The average scale of the map can be set at 1:50,000, although it must be considered that the scale for the capture of information has usually been 1:2,500 and occasionally higher, which allows, from the point of view of the screen, a maximum scale of 1:1,500 and a minimum of 1:100,000.
