Vahti guide 2010/3 Instructions for the internal network
Description
The objective of the Ministry of Finance’s Internal Network Guide is to harmonise and streamline procedures for building internal networks and to support the introduction of an appropriate level of information security in organisations. The guide replaces the recommendation of the Ministry of Finance of 2001 on the security of local area networks (VAHTI 2/2001). The internal network guide should be used in conjunction with the previously published general guide VAHTI 2/2010 on the implementation of the Information Security Regulation.
VAHTI is a body for steering, development and coordination of information security in the administration. Vahti handles all significant information security policies and matters related to information security measures in the central government. Through its activities, the Government and the Ministry of Finance support the Government and the Ministry of Finance in decision-making related to information security in the administration and in its preparation.
