Avalanche cadastre of the Bavarian Alps
Description
The avalanche register is a list of known avalanche events. The registered avalanche marks reflect the state of knowledge of avalanches in their largest known extent, insofar as these avalanches pose or pose a danger to buildings, mountain railways and ski lifts as well as traffic routes, ski slopes and toboggan runs. Avalanche marks off endangered objects are usually not entered. The avalanche register may not be used for the excretion of danger zones without further specialist assessments. Protection and installation measures carried out have no influence on the documentation of avalanche strikes in the avalanche cadastre.
