Vegetable Index (NDVI) of Andalusia. Seasonal Average, 2009 (NOAA AVHRR)
Description
Seasonal mean of NDVI calculated from NOAA satellite images captured by the AVHRR (Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer) sensor. The AVHRR sensor collects information in 5 spectral bands: visible, near-infrared and 3 in thermal infrared, all with a resolution of 1 000 m. The 2009 NDVI seasonal average is calculated from the monthly averages, grouping December 2008, January and February 2009 in winter; March, April and May 2009 in spring; June, July and August 2009 in summer; September, October and November 2009 in autumn.
