Support layer

Description

The support layer keeps the track geometrically in the correct position and position, distributes loads to the substructure and forms a flat and load-bearing platform for the track. The supporting layer is made of rail ballast or rail gravel. The year of installation, the year of screening, the type of support layer, the strength class of the support layer, the thickness of the support layer, as well as the line number, the maintenance area, the location track code and the initial and final location (km+m) related to the location shall be reported for the support layer. The data cover railways owned by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. The data source system is the Track Object Management Application (RATKO) of the Track Infrastructure Information Management System. The material is updated once a week.
