Reporting Water Framework Directive 2010: GIS files of surface water bodies in metropolitan France in WISE format
Description
A file is available for each type of WISE water body:
-river water bodies (RWBODY),
-mass of water body of water (LWBODY),
coastal water mass (CWBODY),
-mass of transitional water (TWBODY).
A body of river water is a distinct and significant part of surface waters such as a river, river or canal, part of a river, river or canal. River water bodies are derived from the BDCarthage® v3 hydrographic theme of the BDCarto®.

A coastal water body is a distinct and significant part of surface waters between the baseline used to measure the breadth of territorial waters and a distance of one nautical mile.
