Description
With the establishment of a common precipitation measurement network between the German Weather Service (DWD) and the state B.-W., a large-scale area-representative precipitation measurement network was realised, which collects precipitation data at a high technical level in a timely manner. This ombrometer measuring network consists of the basic measuring network of the DWD and the compaction measuring network of the country; in addition, stations of the air measuring network as well as other providers are available. The resulting data pool for water management and meteorology is particularly important for flood forecasts and precipitation warnings.
