Railway data for noise calculations
Description
The data product Railway data for noise calculations is a compilation of networked railway data for use in noise calculation programmes. The data product includes datasets for noise protection, level crossings, track data and planned rail traffic according to the timetable for the year in question.
The purpose of the data product is to provide the Swedish Transport Administration with a standardised basis for noise calculations, which in turn provides more efficient and safer handling of information in noise investigations. Data is generated and delivered according to the same processes. In the long term, the comparability of noise surveys is also expected to improve. For track-linked data, this means that deliveries to e.g. emergency consultants contain the same type of data regardless of which part of the country a noise investigation is made and regardless of who is the client.
