Satakunta phase county plan 1
Description
Satakunta’s phase provincial plan 1 shows the areas of wind power production that are significant for the region and the related energy supply.
The phase-in plan for wind power production in Satakunta enables centralisation of wind power production and planning of areas of regional significance. The municipalities will draw up a more detailed plan for the area (urban planning), in which the area of wind turbines is defined in more detail and the height, number and placement of wind turbines in the terrain are studied. In connection with the planning work, landscape and noise surveys, shading modelling and an assessment of the impacts of wind power production will be carried out on the basis of a more accurate positioning of wind turbines. Almost all areas of Satakunta’s phase county plan 1 wind turbines are in progress.
The preparation of Satakunta’s phase provincial plan 1 was started in 2010 with the report ‘Continental wind regions in Satakunta’. The study analysed the areas best suited to wind power production as large, centralised targets. The actual planning process started in the spring of 2011. A working group consisting of contact persons from municipalities and experts from different fields was involved in the preparation of the plan.
