Areas with high and moderate potential for marine litter ingress from the sea in the South Atlantic Demarcation (EM SUD PRE ZO Marine litter)
Description
The areas with the highest density of fishing vessels (i.e. the areas with the highest number of VMS records) as well as the areas with the highest density of merchant vessels (AIS) have been identified, adding the signals received from both sources on each cell (transformed the VMS data to signals emitted every 5 minutes, to make them comparable with the AIS).
