Limits of the Framework Operations Plan Areas
Description
Areas of validity of framework operating plans for mining operations under mountain control.
The framework operating plan (Section 52(2)(1) of the Federal Mining Act) defines the spatial, temporal and factual framework in which the plans of a mining operation are carried out over a longer period of time. It must be approved by the LBGR. A distinction is made between optional framework operating plans and mandatory operational plans. Approval of the latter requires a planning approval procedure.
